Wow life can really change fast.
5 weeks ago, we were in Mexico, unmarried, sorting out last minute wedding
details.
4 weeks ago we got married on the beach surrounded by love and support.
3 weeks ago we "made it official" in Richmond and celebrated like crazy.
2 weeks ago we got an opportunity hard to pass up.
1 week ago we were living on our boat 15' above concrete in the
Shearwater boatyard.
4 days ago we lived in Bella bella.
And now, just 4 days later, we live here:
Or rather, a small cabin some miles north of this.
This is Ketchikan. It's a metropolis--compared to Bella Bella-- with a population nearing 14,000 in the summer (and 7,000 in the winter). It has a grocery store, a McDonalds, a stoplight, cell reception, a walmart(!), a jewelery store, lots of internet, big buildings, and even more rain.
Two wanderers wandering together forever...
Once life slows down (ha!) I promise the following blogs to you:
-a watertank run down (it's put together and holds water!)
-our crazy 3 1/2 day haul up the coast, 270 miles from Bella Bella to Ketchikan
-what the heck we're doing up here (that one will have to wait until I figure it out
first)
